Blue Mountains Basketball Association follows the Policies and Procedures set-out by Basketball Australia and Basketball NSW. We have also established a number of local policies and procedures that directly relate to our competitions, members and attendance at our venues. Please find below links to these documents.

 

Details regarding Codes of Conduct, Child Protection, Anti-Discrimination & Harassment, Alcohol, Pregnancy, Gender Identity, Bullying and Social Network Sites are all covered within the Basketball Australia Member Protection Policy (Basketball Australia National Integrity Framework).

Injuries and Insurance

Insurance is provided through Basketball NSW by V-Insurance Group.

Should Blue Mountains Basketball Association members become injured through their participation in an approved basketball activity, they must complete on online Injury Notification

Codes of Conduct

All players, coaches, officials, support staff and spectators are bound by their respective Code of Conduct issued by Basketball NSW. These can be found on the BNSW website:

   – Players

   – Coaches, Officials and Support Staff

   – Spectators 

 

BMBA have also develop specific codes of conduct which apply to all members and spectators:

   – Protocol for Addressing Referee Decisions 

 

Any breaches of these codes may result in disciplinary actions.

Registration

By registering with Blue Mountains Basketball Association, participants accept the Basketball Network Participant Terms and ConditionsBasketball Australia National Integrity Framework and Blue Mountains Basketball Association policies & procedures (aviable on our website)

Blue Mountains Basketball Association are required to pass your personal information onto Basketball NSW, who will then forward to Basketball Australia’s database, known as the Basketball Network.

Upon receipt of payment, your membership with Blue Mountains Basketball Association which includes registration with Basketball NSW, covers your insurance and other benefits for 365 days. If you renew your registration within 30-days of its expiry, you acknowledge you are aware that your new expiry date is 12-months from the previous expiry date.

Representative

Representing the Blue Mountains Basketball Association is a privilege that carries great responsibility. Participation in our Representative Program signifies not only exceptional individual talent but also a strong commitment to the values of development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

REPRESENTATIVE PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

In accepting a position within a BMBA Representative team you are agreeing to:

    – Basketball NSW’s Representative/Development Player Agreement

    – Player Code of Conduct

    – Coach/Official/Support Staff Code of Conduct

Breaches of these behavioral standards may result in your suspension or removal from our representative program.
