More Court Time. More Coaching. More Opportunities.

Hoops Hub is our open gym player development program, giving young players the opportunity to spend more time on the court with the support of our experienced coaching team.

Unlike a traditional training session, Hoops Hub is designed to be flexible. Players can work on the skills they want to develop, seek advice from coaches, join small group activities or simply enjoy some extra time playing basketball.

Hoops Hub provides a fun, welcoming environment where every player can continue to learn and improve.

What is Hoops Hub?

Hoops Hub is built around a simple idea—every player develops differently.

Some players want to improve their shooting. Others might be working on their ball handling, footwork or finishing at the basket. Some simply want more time on court.

Rather than following a fixed training plan, Hoops Hub gives players the freedom to focus on the areas of their game that matter most to them, with coaches available throughout the session to provide guidance, encouragement and individual feedback.

Players can:

There are no set teams, no rigid structure and no expectation that everyone does the same activity. Hoops Hub is about creating an environment where players can continue developing in a way that suits them.

Proudly Supported by the NSW Government

Hoops Hub is FREE

Hoops Hub is funded by the NSW Government through the Local Sport Grant Program, administered by the NSW Office of Sport.

This funding has enabled Blue Mountains Basketball to create additional player development opportunities by providing free access to quality coaching and extra court time for young players in our community.

We are grateful for the NSW Government’s investment in grassroots sport and their support in helping us build stronger pathways for basketball across the Blue Mountains.

Saturday Hoops Hub (Open)

Following the completion of Rising Stars & All Stars 3×3, the court remains open for Saturday Hoops Hub. (Anticipated 11:00am–12:00pm or 12:00pm–1:00pm, depending on final 3×3 scheduling)

There is no registration, no booking and no additional cost to attend.

While 3×3 participants are encouraged to stay on after their games, Saturday Hoops Hub is open to all junior players, whether or not they have participated in the morning’s programs.

If you’re looking for some extra court time on a Saturday, simply come along and join in.

Whether you stay for 15 minutes or the entire session, Saturday Hoops Hub is all about giving young players more opportunities to play, learn and develop in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Tuesday Hoops Hub (Girls)

Our dedicated Girls Hoops Hub provides female athletes with a supportive, girls-only environment to develop their skills, build confidence and connect with other young basketballers.

The program has been a tremendous success, with our Term 3 program now fully subscribed.

Due to the overwhelming response, we are planning to deliver additional Girls Hoops Hub programs, creating more opportunities for girls across the Blue Mountains to access quality coaching in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Keep an eye on our website and social media for announcements about future Girls Hoops Hub sessions.
