Ready to take the next step in your basketball journey? The Prep for Reps program is the official entry point into the Blue Mountains Magic representative pathway, designed to prepare athletes for the demands of representative basketball and give them the best possible opportunity at selection.
Whether you’re an aspiring representative player or a returning Magic athlete looking to earn a place in a higher division, Prep for Rep provides the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to perform at your best during the trial process.
Running over eight weeks in Term 3 each year, players will train in a high-performance environment, focusing on advanced skill development, game concepts, decision-making and the standards expected of Blue Mountains Magic athletes. Participants will also be introduced to the Summit Framework — our unified representative playing philosophy that underpins every Magic team.

– U12s Boys & Girls (Born 2016, 2017 or 2018)
– U14s Girls (Born 2014 or 2015)
– U14s Boys (Born 2014 or 2015)
– U16/18 Boys & Girls (Born 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013)
Locations:
– U12s Boys & Girls – Saturdays at Katoomba Sports & Aquatic Centre
– U14s Girls – Thursdays at Katoomba High School (entry via Raymond Road)
– U14s Boys – Thursdays at Katoomba High School (entray via Raymond Road)
– U16/18 Boys & Girls – Mondays at Katoomba Sports & Aquatic Centre
Your registration includes:
– All eight Prep for Reps training sessions
– Complimentary entry into the upcoming Blue Mountains Magic Representative Trials (normally $25)
Places are limited and registrations are essential.
Please note: Participation in Prep for Reps does not guarantee selection in a Blue Mountains Magic representative team. All players must still attend the official representative trials and will be assessed in accordance with the Blue Mountains Magic selection policy.
