☀️🏀 The 2025-26 Summer Senior Basketball Season is heating up! 🏀☀️

We’re excited to welcome players, referees, and fans back to the court for another action-packed season!

Whether you’re returning to defend your title, lacing up for the first time, or just here for the love of the game, this season promises high energy, great competition, and a strong community vibe.

We’ve got a fantastic mix of returning teams and some exciting new ones joining the league. Whether you’re chasing the championship or playing for fun, we can’t wait to see some fast-paced games, friendly rivalries, and plenty of memorable moments.

We’re always looking for extra hands, so if you’re keen to get involved as a referee or volunteer, we’d love to have you on board as part of our growing community.

Keys Dates

   – Season commences: 14th October 2025

   – Last Round of Term 4: 16th December 2025

  – Summer Holiday Break: 23 December 2025 to 27 January 2026 (6 weeks)

   – First game after break: 03 February 2026

   – Playoffs: 24th and 31st March 2026

Women’s Competition

   – Double Round Robin across 14 rounds

   – Rounds 15–17: Flexible scheduling to ensure final rounds are meaningful to playoff seeding

Playoffs

   – Semi Final 1v2, 3v4 

   – Grand Final

Men’s Competition

   – Single Round Robin across 11 rounds

   – For Rounds 12-17, teams will be split into 2 divisions based on their ladder position at the end of round 11.

Playoffs

   – Division 1: 

     – Week 1 – Elimination Round – 17th March

          – EF1: 3rd vs 6th (loser eliminated)

          – EF2: 4th vs 5th (loser eliminated)

          – 1st & 2nd get bye

     – Week 2 – Semi Finals – 24 March

          – SF1: 1st vs lowest remaining seed

          – SF2: 2nd vs other remaining team

          – Losers eliminated

     – Week 3 – Grand Final – 31st March

          – Winners of SF1 & SF2

– Division 2: 

     – Week 1 – Elimination Round – 17th March

          – EF: 4th vs 5th

          – QF: 2nd vs 3rd

          – 1st gets bye

     – Week 2 – Semi Finals – 24 March

          – SF1: 1st vs Loser of QF 

          – SF2: Winner of QF vs Winner of EF

          – Losers eliminated

     – Week 3 – Grand Final – 31st March

          – Winners of SF1 & SF2

Forfeit Notification

Forfeits need to be submitted in writing to – ensure you highlight the team name, game time and division. 

Team Managers can lodge a forfeit up to 7 days in advance.

Timely notice is crucial for the smooth operation of our schedule.
